34 North and the 3 Zim Nephites

34 North, Glendale, Harare has become dear to all the missionaries
Early morning pickleball, with amazing sunrises!
No one is more generous than the Nield family, Iris & Reeve, and their friend, Lolly, Laurite Maritz. They share everything they own; especially with the missionaries. We'll always hold fond memories of learning to play pickleball, enough to be competitive. We are playing 4-5 x a week now and have improved immensely.
Reeve and Lolly cofounded "Eyes for Zimbabwe" a charity that provides ophthalmic surgery for cataracts and reading glasses. They also give large donations of clothing and reading material to schools. Reeve & Lolly are also our golf coaches. Reeve's coached many world cup professionals worldwide. Lolly is a professional women's golfer with lots of tournament wins and 11 holes-in-ones!

We've had many senior missionary dinners and bries at 34 North.

Thursday, July 27th, we had another amazing golf lesson with Reeve Nield. She taught our project manager, Anton Fourie, and our HZT Architect, Roger Platt. I'm hitting much more consistently with her great pro golf tips.

We love all the fruit trees on 34 North. We've picked an abundance of bananas, mangos, pomegranates, avocados, and lemons.

34 North has 21 containers full of humanitarian donations to give out for "Eyes for Zimbabwe"
Another thing Reeve does weekly is prepare African pre-missionaries for their medical and dental exams. Lolly and Reeve pack up a suitcase of missionary clothing/shoes for each participant's mission. They have to agree to do 500 hours of service in return. Many of these young adults live in very poor circumstances and wouldn't have the means to go on a mission without their generous donations.
Reeve always drives the temple construction site with a truckload of pre-missionaries preparing to turn in their mission papers. 34 North also has built lodging rooms so the missionaries have a place to stay for the night since many travel up from Bulawayo and throughout Zimbabwe.
Every week Reeve has a large group of pre-missionaries getting medical and dental exams. She always brings them by the Harare Zimbabwe Temple Site so they can view from the fence.
