Punashe's Baptism: 2nd generation!

Elder Anderson, David, Agness, Punashe Jess, Kunashe, Sister Anderson, Otenda, and "Saint" Treese 2023.07.16 Jess's Baptism at Highlands Ward, Harare Zimbabwe

How rewarding to see the second generation enter the waters of baptism. David was able to baptize his son, Punashe Jess, today after church. The water was cold; but Jess, only age 9, bore a beautiful testimony of his commitment to Jesus Christ. There were two other men baptized also. Sister "Saint" Tresse and Sister Otenda are amazing missionaries. We are so blessed to be able to witness this. Bruce was able to ordain David a priest in May so he was able to baptize his own son. Punashe was able to sit through the missionary lessons as the sisters taught his family for a second time. We love this family, which started from a sweet humble maid, who found a Book of Mormon in the Highland ward kitchen before the old church was demolished for the temple site.

There were 3 sons of God baptized on Sunday in Highland. The Highland Sisters taught them all.
Punashe Jess and his father, David Solani. David was baptized in May and has the priesthood.
July is the coldest "winter" month in Zimbabwe. The mornings and evenings are quite cool 40s. The water was frigid. You could see a bit of a shock on their faces as they were immersed in the water.
We are proud of our 9-year-old new convert, P.J. who entered the waters of baptism today.

Sister and Elder Anderson, we love the Harare Zimbabwe Mission and our work here!

Sister Nichols and her companion are teaching Wisdom about the church. He came to the baptism.
Punashe Jess gets his first "CTR" ring from the sister missionaries after his baptism.
Hugs to our adopted grandchildren. We are so proud of P.J. Jess!
The children are so loving!
Beautiful day at the Highland Ward in Harare, Zimbabwe. Love these sisters, Agness & Jennifer with kids.
Another swimming pool immersion on a cool nippy day!
