God is Love! "Saint" Treese

"God is Love!" Indeed, I know this to be true. He loves all His children and we are all His offspring and are of divine lineage; children of God. We love our Highland Ward and the wonderful convert baptisms that take place almost every Sunday. We've been so blessed to have Sister "Saint" Kaitlyn Treese serve in our area for the past 6 months. She goes home this week to Idaho; we hope to keep in contact since we're virtually neighbors. She's been an amazing missionary and has brought so many people to the truth of Jesus Christ's gospel since we've been here in March. Her shining example and strong testimony are a great strength to us and our mission. Her mother should be very proud! We love all the missionaries of Harare Zimbabwe! We had a wonderful Sabbath day and fast and testimony meeting. The Spirit is so strong here in the African wards. I love how people express themselves and testify with such pureness and conviction the truthfulness of the gospel. We are so grateful to be on a mission and serve as representatives of Jesus Christ. Our testimonies of Him and His Atonement has been strengthened. We know he helps us and see our "weak things become strong" Ether 12:27, which has become one of my favorite scriptures. He has strengthened me and helped me to serve and witness of Him without shyness or holding back, as I have done in the past.

We love our sister missionaries! Saying goodbye to Sister Treese and Sister Lundisani's being transferred tomorrow. 2023.08.06
Beautiful ward members Jennifer's family, Kupa, Agness, & Shiela with Sister Lundisani
Baptism day for Lawrence and Nomatter, they were legally married yesterday so they could get baptized. They both bore beautiful testimonies after their baptism of Jesus Christ and the restored gospel.
Our cute primary children, even nursery-age, carry their chairs outside for class under the trees.
The sisters allow me to take the baptismal clothes home and wash them. Today we had 4 suits; itsn't it wonderful to see them hanging dry. I count this as both a blessing and priveledge to participate in this small service.

After we finished and enjoyed the "Lion Park" and a small game drive about 30 minutes away. We had tacos at a new roadside taco truck. The owner, Sony, was especially friendly and suggested what we should order. We talked to her about why we are in Zimbabwe and about the temple we are building. She seemed really drawn to us. Sony & her husband moved back to Zimbabwe from Dallas, Texas. She loves America but is saddened by what's happening to our country. She is God-fearing and family oriented. We gave her a Book of Mormon and talked about the family being so important to God. We know Satan is out there trying to destroy the family. She wants to take missionary lessons and learn more. BTW, her tacos were delicious and we'll be back soon! You can do missionary work anywhere!

Downtown Harare, the CBD, is always a stressful drive to get through the crazy traffic!
Zimbabwean elections are coming August 21st. The young missionaries have been asked to stay indoors for safety reasons after 6:00 p.m. The seniors have a little more freedom. We are to be careful and avoid large gatherings and watch for riots. We pray the elections are peaceful this year and the people get wonderful improvements for their country. So far we've felt very safe and protected here.
Last visit for Sister Treese at the temple site. She's been amazing with her companions to pick up litter every Monday to help keep the front of the temple clean. We love her and all the sisters! 2023.08.07
The Bendura elders stopped by to see the temple construction progress. It's all bricked! 2023.08.07

We'll miss these dynamic missionaries! Sisters Oteinda, Treese, Lungisani, and Nicols at HZT.
