Richwell's Baptismal Day

Sunday, Sept. 3rd, we met Persuade at the combi stop in Chitungwiza. He was headed on his first great adventure leaving Zimbabwe for the very first time to attend the temple in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Stake was sending their YSA group on a temple excursion, and our newly baptized member, Persuade, was able to go to start the temple work for his father and grandparents. He was so overjoyed he didn't even mind missing his friend's baptism, Richwell, whom he had helped fellowship on the temple site. Persuade brought his friend, Moses, to meet us and attend church with us. He's already such a wonderful missionary. We introduced Moses to the sister missionaries, Sister Kitchen and Rahanitriniana. They are both amazing and also taught Richwell the lessons. We arrived to find Richwell all dressed up and smiling ear to ear on his baptism day.

We attended a beautiful fast and testimony meeting in Chitungwiza Ward. Bruce (Elder Anderson) bore his testimony of the temple and prepared the saints for their temple ordinances. It will be finished when the members are ready. After church, Bruce had the honor of baptizing Richwell Mazvanhara and confirming him with the gift of the Holy Ghost. Oh, what joy fills our hearts on these special days for our temple site workers.

A glorious Sabbath day coming out of the font after being washed clean. The borehole in the back is how they filled the font for Richwell's baptism. The sister missionaries play such an important role in teaching our investigators.  I love these wonderful sisters, who donate their time to serve. Here is Sister Lungisani, Kendrick, Kitchen, and Rahanitriniana with Siste Anderson. They are some of our very favorites!

Elder Anderson was able to confirm Richwell and give him the gift of the Holy Ghost as his constant companion. Richwell then bore a beautiful testimony of the restored gospel, the Book of Mormon, and his decision to be baptized and join the fold. He was beaming with happiness!
